4821 - had a problem with it in Stourbridge today, an was swapped for 4813 and 4821 taken away by an engineer.

Plus 246 today was running in doubles  :) never known 2 to run together

246 is like the 9, can run in 3's often. Saw about 4 come in to Dudley within a couple of minutes a while back

Bit like all Frequent routes then ;)

Aplogies I did mean 10th but see you all came to that conlusion ;), I was making a note of the buses on the 246 as there should be 10 but only seen 9 so thought maybe trident 4202 was elsewere on a PE route

Which Tridents did you see on the 246 Nathan ?
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

More to the point, any photos of 4202 and what work was done to it?

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

Ah, thanks Nathan. 4202 rarely reared its ugly head whilst at BC so it does seem quite the elusive!

I've only seen (and rode) 4202 once, on the 9E/140. It's had a new front end but the rest of the bus is unchanged

Nathan4775

Seen 4201 only twice at BC once on the 957 + X64, but see it at PE everytime I'm there, but hopefully 4202 can show its face on the 9 or 246 soon

Have a feeling that 4202 was one of the Tridents at PE today, but couldn't see the numbers, both were very smart with newish paint work so stands a chance. Someone said that 4202 had received a new front, was the old front really in that bad a condition.

From what I remember it was tatty and battered. None of the panels lined up and the windscreen was askew.

Guys, has the Network West Midlands Service Changes page updated for you at all recently? Still showing August changes to me.

Same here. They probably won't release October changes into the end of September/start of October

I caught 4814 on the 9 home from Brum yesterday, and while sat in Bearwood, the driver started revving the engine very high for about 7 or 8 seconds, letting go and then doing it again about 5 times. After pulling away the bus starting making loud whining noises when starting to move and continued to do so after I got off (I don't think it was doing it before though). I don't know if this is normal for this particular bus or if there was a problem with it, I don't recall ever hearing one of these enviros making a similar noise. I couldn't hear clearly as I was sat upstairs near the front but after I got off and it pulled away it sounded almost like an electric motor whirring or something similar. It could just be nothing or maybe there is something up with the bus? I'm only mentioning this as there seems to be speculation as to why there are B7s on the 9 today?
