So them common sense portrays to me, that if B7's are to come from BC if the 98 goes DD operated, they would replace the mercs currently in use at PE, but then does that mean that the X96 would see a new branding as its only just been branded on the mercs ?

I don't know if all the mercs are being withdrawn although we will have to see as plans can change all the while

That's true, but it could/would replace a substantial amount of mercs

Sorry accidently pressed send, So then the current Enviro's on there will upgrade the 94 (As mentioned on here recently) then also go onto the other PB routes.

I then think that Geminis or ALX400 B7TL's could transfer to WB to replace older Mercs?

Anyway Back to Pensnett the only way i can think of B7RLE's transferring to PE is if what was suggested on here about the 98 becoming Double Decker operated with The B7RLE's transferring to PE

My thought was all of the WA Tridents to PE to be replaced by Gemini from PB.

Walsall paintshop will be kept busy again if this happens.

I did hear a rumour about the Pershore Road getting upgraded to Enviros, but that wasn't rumoured to happen until next year.. I would think the Sutton Lines would be upgraded sometime in the near future

Yes it is true that the Pershore Rd is being upgranded next year. And i presume as tony said the brand new buses due within 6 weeks are presumably the new E400's due for the Sutton Lines which will have black route branding

I guess B7RLE's directly replacing Mercs on the 243/4/276/205 and additionally to help cover forother B7RLE's on the current B7RLE operated 120,140/241.

And the Tridents for the X96 and a few for the 276 alongside covering current double deck routes 246,141 and 9 to make sure single deckers on tose routes are kept to a minimal?

Tridents have so far been reported on the 9, 140, 141, 222, 241, 243, 244, 246 and 276, so as far as I know, no.

What would the purpose of inter working the 276 and 244 on a sunday daytime service gain?

The 276 currently uses 5 buses on a Sunday, and the 244 would need 2 buses to run with massive layover as the round trip on 244 is around 1 hour 10 minutes. The interworking I have suggested would require only 6 buses, therefore saving 1 bus.

The only alternative would be operating a 244E to Halesowen, but this would leave Hayley Green/Hasbury without a Sunday bus service

I'm on Nath's phone at the moment but I'll explain the running boards when I get home, as I really think my idea could work

Well the 241 has 35 minutes layover at Halesowen, couldn't you send that round Hasbury/Hayley Green on a weekday night & Sunday, and then just operate the 244E between Halesowen & Dudley?.

That is the alternative, but there is no real advantage to that over interworking the 244 and 276.

However the 241 serving Hayley Green on a Sunday instead of the 244 could cause unnecessary confusion amongst passengers.

The method I suggested would not alter any timetables in the slightest, meaning passengers would not notice any change to the 244 and 276.
