Have you noticed 4829 has transferred to Perry Barr (who do not operate the 11!)

Did I read that right - Has 4829 actually been transferred? And will the other PE Enviros go to PB also?

How mamy times does it have to be posted that 4829 has tramsferred for it to be believed?

YW - 35 (vehicles also to receive names)
AG - 11A/C

Ironically both of my locals... Must admit I'm pleased about that, both routes deserve branding!

Another thought, we have assumed that the 35 is NOT to receive new buses, however what if it is, this would free up some of the 47XX Enviros which could be transferred to PE to allow the 48XX Enviros to transfer to PB?

I would have thought the 50 would be higher priority for new buses over the 35 if YW were due any.

The only reason i made that suggestion is that the YW buses on the 35 are to be named, NE tend to name there new buses rather than the old ones?

Wouldn't it make more sense for 4718-4732 to just go back to PB directly if that was happening? I hope not anyway, I have grown rather fond of that batch over the last year.

It probably would, but i wonder whether they are still concerned at the high mileages that the PE Enviros are running at?

YW E400's on the 50 were branded, not refurbished & still named

Sorry - it's only the fact that they're tridents that surprised me... :P

But also, regarding the 11 branding, I do hope it'll stand out from the rest. I'd be quite disappointed if it looked like the rest of the 'generic' branding - but, to be fair, NX have recently been improving/consistent on their livery & branding, so gold stars to them i guess...  ;)

But isn't that just a stop gap because PB are short of buses or are we to read more into it?

As AG have more than 28 Presidents, then yes if they get new buses for the 11 or transfer of Geminis (can't see them branding the Presidents), then the likelyhood of PE getting 28 or more Presidents goes up.

In my opinion, if they are thinking of running the 9 with Tridents, it will be a big big mistake.

It would be nice to have older Tridents as the main allocation for the 9.

Are you sure, given the reliability issues of the Tridents before Christmas, i would say No No No to them on the 9!

I'll reiterate what the other members have said;

I hope the 11 branding is something totally different and big. It will be a big anticlimactic end to discussions if its the same bloody genericness which has plagued the rest of the fleet.

What I would want is the 8C/A to have double deckers on it and be branded, it's the inner circle, it goes the majority of the ring road and there are no low bridges in the way. Remember this is just a suggestion.

It's around 10years or just over since I saw a double decker on the Inner Circle, I agree it would be nice to see branded examples. I think there may be an issue at BY garage though, unless they raised the roof a bit!
