I also caught 31479 yesterday which is a nice bus and 3 Diamond 50's buses had all caught up together in Kings Heath towards Druids Heath yesterday 30205, 31479 and 30802.

Yes, they were I remember I was on 31479 cos Id planned it so I got X50 in from the Maypole then saw a nifty branded bus, then 31479 and then 30205 and then I got 31479 out to the maypole again and 30205 back!! Yeah it was great tho it was interesting to see that people went for the nifty 50 over the other 2 diamonds-maybe diamond should recognise this and try to ensure that wherever possible, all the branded buses are used on a particular route!! The nifty 50 was actually really busy

This is the big issue i find with diamond as i have saw a red diamond, black diamond and plain white vehicle all on one route often happens on the 410 and for people that are not enthusiasts or dont know the buses in the area would be confused especially if they have a return ticket or diamond day ticket. If the red diamond vehicles are going to be kept at least they should be repainted into the black diamond livery or sold on but they have been at tividale for a couple of years now so unlikely.

I agree it is very confusing and I think they should just adopt the Black Diamond livery for everything Blue Diamond included.

Or just 'Diamond' that would be easier to understand

Dont know if these workings are unusual or what. YJ12 GUG on 50 today, along with 30827-I think-also on the 50.

Nathan,

Are you sure on some of those fleetnumbers?

4367 on the 16, that's a YW Trident
1747 on the 97/97A, there is no such fleetnumber
1842 on the 900E, that's a PB Omnilink, can't imagine BC would need to loan any single deckers, as they seem to have excess at the mo with all the various sightings

1842 was at Birmingham Intl Airport Displaying 900E

There was an old red and white Diamond bus on the 417 today but forgotten the exact number.

1695 was on the 428
569 on the 428 must have transferred in from Walsall as it had full destination blinds
3611 was also on the 428/9
4526 was on the 406
4321 and 4586 both on the 79
Also there were 5/6 mercs parked in the outside park up over the road from the garage which some looked to be 1538 and some Dudley Road branded mercs with i think was 1526 along with 1532/87 which has been there for around 2 weeks

I got on 1526 on Friday

The Dudley Road merc was in the old TWM livery so could have been 1528/9 i couldnt see correctly as i was on the 402 at the time but im 99% sure 1538 was parked up there it looks like the old 404 mercs are being targeted for withdrawal shame as 1539 is one of the best mercs they have especially in its first livery which was in a perfect state when debranded from the 404

1529 has a side destination blind
1528 doesn't.
That's how I tell the difference  :)
Yeah, 1539 was a good one, as long as 1534 doesn't get withdrawn for a while I'll be happy  :), and I don't think it will, spotted on the 127 Monday

Ashley

1666 was on the 55 today and 4760 was on the 35 if you can call those rares
