I think the Spectra was 4016 as I saw that yesterday afternoon

554 was on the 297 today if you could call that rare. There was also an Excel on route 4 today and a spectra on the 255

1827 on the 8C today, looking strange.

4504

Excel on the 255, if that's rare.

Yes there's a few Excel's turning up on various WN routes lately, whether this is because they have transferred a few too many Mercs out or there's a few Tridents off the road being refurbished, repainted, linking in with the Route One report suggestions so Excel's are being used.

4504

That would look quite odd, I actually haven't seen any other bus on that route, apart from mercs.

Ah, I see, there were also 6 other dennis tridents on the 255, including the one I was on, 4541, I actually wasn't expecting to see any.
Do the 255/256 interchange at Wolverhampton? and/or does the 256/257 interchange at Stourbridge?
There was also a merc on the 27

First time I saw an Omnilink too. The destination was similar to the 11, but it simply said Inner Circle 8C, and on the second line it said Highgate      Five Ways (the massive space in between was there instead of '&'.

I started to wonder what the front LEDs would actually display and how. If I see it, I'll take a pic.
Does this mean the omnilinks at BY are going to be used on the Inner Circle, I wonder  :o

The 255 doesn't interwork with the 256 anymore, when it reaches Merry Hill I believe it becomes a 255E and then heads back to Wall Heath and terminates at Blaze Park, it then returns to Merry Hill as a 255E then becomes a full 255 and returns all the way back to Wolvo and repeats the pattern.

The 256 and the 257 do interwork at Stourbridge, a bus will start at Wolvo as a 256, head to Stourbridge, become a 257 to Dudley, then a 257 to Stourbridge and then a 256 back to Wolvo again.

Arriva Optare Versa 2975 was working the 142 in Halesowen last night
Was it lost lol

wilmotm (Matt Wilmot)

Another Excel on the 1 today, didn't catch the Fleet number, WN must certainly have a few Tridents off the road then I would have thought, as a couple of Spectra's made their way to Dudley as well.

The 255 has been completely Trident operated since the start of this year when 4135, 4305-9, 4313 and 4327 transferred into WN.  Spectras, Mercs and Excels are normally only used in an emergency.

Saw 4529 on the 89 today, nearly had a heart attack.
