Metro bus replacement fleet

Did the Metro ever have its own fleet of replacement buses? I'm convinced it had Lynxes parked at Wednesbury or the like in the early days, instead of drawing cover from TWM?

Can anyone help?

Yes, there were some Lynx based there, don't know if they were ever used
