I know planned repaints have stopped for the time being but will accident damaged vehicles be painted and also long term oddities/major repairs like 2136 and 5409, when available?

You mean 2136?
Don't judge me until you've walked in my size ten shoes.

Yes corrected!!

2136 is already painted, just waiting for seats back from trim shop.

5409 will be done, along with anything else that needs painting

Refurbs are temporarily suspended at the moment. The spray booth has been playing up and more buses are needed for service, so as these come out they will not be replaced for the time being

Because its green, should be crimson. Paintshop are allowed to do anything that is necessary for the company image upkeep.

I only said refurbs were suspended, not repaints

I think you said before that 5409 would be done when it returns from its hospitalisation. Any idea when refurbs may restart, and if repaints aren't suspended is it likely some in the programme would be done but only repainted (like some of the WN 45xx a few years back - though those were incredibly threadbare still, interior wise)?

Presumably these are all financially based decisions but if not and it is only an equipment issue (awaiting repairs or finance to do them), given there's still about 175 red/blue and white buses to do, which would presumably be followed by the 2015 Crimson deliveries (some E200MMCs already done for WB and Dundee), which will be 6 yrs old from next March, is it possible some of the red or blue/white outstanding Scania/E200/E400/B7RLE and the remaining Streetlite be outsourced to avoid the programme extending? (I'm presuming you're aiming for a six year cycle though some are now beyond that (eg 4830/5).

I guess Covid is making a massive difference in many ways to operating a bus and coach company and broader business. And some of those red/white buses you post pictures of still look quite presentable in the photos.

The only reason refurbs are suspended is because we are running over 105% of service, so cannot afford to have buses of the road for a month
