Here's something I wouldn't normally film, a VIP bus :o It sounded decent enough even if it probably was falling apart.

If you hadn't warned me it was nearby, I'd have been on 4148 and missed it ;)

Here's 4814 sounding as glorious as ever on the 9 last night...

First's 33405 VX54 MUB, a Transbus Trident based at Worcester, this clip on the 144 heading into Worcester. I have never heard a Trident sound anything like this before.

Some of you may remember how slow TGB's Trident 109 was, well my God, it's not slow any more! I've never known such a powerful Trident, this is why I think Euro 2 Tridents are best... here's a clip of it being hammered on the 50 on Saturday.

I thought when I clicked the link "Lets see no difference between this and anything else..."

But from about 00:20secs I sat there with a big grin on my face. Excellent work, both the repair/mod job and the video. Excellent share.

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

Thanks a lot LS. 114 has been VOR for a while, on the VOR list on the whiteboard last week it had "slow" written next to it! I think it had similar issues to 109, but I believe it came out of intensive care last week, so I'm hoping for an improvement...

Is it a turbo issue or back pressure in the exhaust?

Fuel injectors, I think

Here's a compilation video I made the other night, of some of the best O405N kickdowns I've caught on camera - worth watching if you like the Mercs!
