Anyone who likes Kickdown might like these 2 separate clips (same section of route) of Diamond 30804 I have merged together. Kickdown and thrash galore. I have timed the link so it should skip some of the slower driving and go straight to the good bit, if not 3:55 is where you're aiming for. Bare with the slower patches as overall it is a great clip.

Fantastic video of a fantastic bus! Literally some of my absolute favourite buses and to say they are MANs they seem pretty reliable...

30804 is probably the only good MAN I know of, it is nearly always out in service and never disappoints on performance, more than can be said for the rest of the old Nifty Fiftys...

I must admit I really liked all the Nifty Fifty's... What was wrong with the rest of them, out of interest?

The "Nifty Fifty" brand itself was fantastic. I don't know exact details but I Just always used to see them breaking down or you'd notice about 3 nifty fiftys and 2 darts on the route.

I agree completely about the branding-I actually thought it was the cleverest of any of diamond's branding but darts did appear as you say especially the FFC ones which were often on there. To be fair though 30801 was VOR for absolutely ages so one was certain to be on there every day.

These centros in that livery though are in my opinion some of the best looking buses Birmingham has ever had.

Trident4370-you might know as you seem to be a user of the 50-when the nifty50 was launched in late 2010/early 2011 was there ever a timetable leaflet on one of the buses that you saw? Just interested...

If there were, I never saw one I'm afraid. I don't think I've ever seen any timetables on any Diamond bus tbh.

What a beast. I'm going to actively hunt that thing down... I've never known a MAN's kickdown sound like that...

Anyone who never got to hear 4370s old famous sound will like this weeks video.
It isn't actually 4370, it is 4374 but it has gained the same howl suddenly out of nowhere.

Here's a video I made last Saturday, a front seat view on 1665, of the 297A from Gornal Wood to the Stickley terminus, then back through Gornal and finishing just before the hospital.

Kickdown used throughout. The bit around the trading estate is particularly fun

A couple of Voith thrashes I came across

Arriva Wales DAF DB250 ALX400 with a distinctive Voith gearbox:

And here's Stagecoach in Cumbria Transbus Trident 18328 MX05 WHW on Service 31 from Cleator Moor to Whitehaven with a mega thrash and lots of kick downs.

DAF DB250 S282 JUA giving it some thrash:

BTW nice Video Matt :) Just love a fast Marc with kickdowns

Watched them all Good Vids ;)
