Noted on their depot yesterday was OU17OSA , a Neoplan  Tourliner , new to MacDonald of Greengairs.

Inside the "showroom" today was YT19EEH. A Scania / Higer  coach , new to Howe - Ramsgate.   Two other 19 plates in the yard were BV19YMA and YD19GRK.

Can any one confirm whether Hardings of Droitwich have ceased trading  ??

I have read that Hardings went in voluntary liquidation in January 2021.
The government's Vehicle Operator Licensing website shows that the 'Licence Status' is "Valid" with a 'Continuation date' of 31 October 2021.
When I visited the yard on 4 November 2021 there were 20 coaches parked up, the oldest one from 2013. All of the coaches looked in superb condition - I can provide a list if required. Seven of the coaches were in Leger Silver Service livery. All of these coaches were SORN when I checked on 14 August 2021 but I haven't checked them since that date, although I suspect they are all still SORN.
Are Hardings waiting for a better time to sell these vehicles or a better time to start a new business with these coaches I wonder?

So, given that 'mikestone' has provided the evidence that Hardings went into voluntary liquidation on 21 January 2021, would anyone like to speculate why 20 coaches, none of them more than 8 years old, were still in the yard at Droitwich when I visited on 4 November 2021?

Owned by Roger and not Hardings so liquidators unable to take them?

Thanks for your replies . It still seems like a bit of a mystery. My money [50p] is on a resumption when/if Leger need to hire coaches again . . . . . .  I am sure these vehicles have not moved at all recently , I would hope that the vehicles get started up once in a while.

Or they are leased and the leasor is happy for them to be kept safely there rather than accept depressed lease prices, or if not accessible no prospect of leasing them?

As they were also around ten days ago, but , Tourismo BD15BDE was seen out on the road earlier this afternoon. The fact that it is one of the Leger Silver Service liveried coaches may just be coincidental as regarding to my earlier post .  :-\

Interesting - BD15 BDE is a black Skoda car according to the DVLA website. Perhaps you could be referring to BJ15 BDE which is indeed a Tourismo in Leger livery although this vehicle is shown as SORN on the DVLA site today.

B61 ANDREW

Correct Sir.  I initially typed BD into the Gov UK site and got the Skoda , I double checked BJ and still managed to type BD in my post.  Oh the joys of old age . . . . . . . .  :-[

B61 ANDREW

It would appear from my observations earlier today that a number of coaches have been shuffled around as there are gaps where vehicles had previously been . So something is afoot . . . . . .  Not sure if any vehicles are missing  though.
