I'm sure this was used before by BC (Harbornes) - for a short amount of time - when the relief point was changed from Snow Hill Queensway to Colmore Row..

For some perspective, this was when the Harbornes still served SH1 on Colmore Row.

I recall they used something different. Saying something along the lines of driver change over or something similar. The display seem on the platinum looks like it's used when passengers have to change onto another due to a fault or breakdown etc.

@Dylanbusboy45 neither are noteworthy. Scania's regularly get on the 301 and 302. Also Platinum's are allocated to the 6, 7 and 7A on Saturday's.
