No one else asks for PVR's so what Tony is saying is correct.Running board numbers and PVR's are totally different things. In my case, i know the running boards through my own knowledge.

Yeah - number of running boards and PVRs are closely guarded by NX; can't be posted publicly. You can work out the PVRs yourself most of the time by working through the timetables. For the usual daytime requirement simply add up the total round trip for a bus (including break) and divide by the frequency.

E.g Route 76

64 mins from Solihull to QE
6   mins break at QE
64 mins from QE to Solihull
6   mins break at Solihull

Add that up = 140 mins. Divide by frequency of 20 mins = 7 buses needed for normal service. If you want the peak figures you'll have to look closely at the timetable. E.g 76 needs 8 in the morning. It's possible to work it all out though - only one I can't follow is the X51/997 and 934/935/936!

It looked like it. We passed it at the Sand Bank/Sneyd Lane junction whilst on an 89 so couldn't have got a closer look. If not then could have been 1776?

Tony,I can quite understand why NX regard information re PVR and route allocations as private,I imagine many operators feel the same.
The thing that surprises me is that Stagecoach appear to have no such shyness..........monthly fleet cards showing types to routes and number of buses on routes are readily available.
Also,the proposed allocation of new vehicles is advertised well in advance,and almost used to generate good publicity.........again NX appear shy to the point of reclusivity (if there is such a word)........do you think this depends on the views of the senior management at the time?
