X51s on form this morning... 7:27 at tower hill (4685) sailed past 5 mins late full to the brim, closely followed by 4686 not in service, only to be seen in service half hour later on it's way back out of town while the next departure (4683, by this time about 10 late itself) is still loading at the Perry Park stop

I'm ok with this... Normally half hour early anyway and could do with some excitement

Any idea why there's at least a 45 minutes gap (possibly longer! ) on the 311 & 313 tonight ?

Got to the Wednesbury Parkway stop around 5 to 5 & was still waiting there until 20 to 6!

I am struggling to find an explanation for you from the one system I have at the moment. You do seem to be really unlucky, last time you had a long wait you had just missed a bus and the same tonight. The
16:55 from Wednesbury Bus Station went past the metro stop at 16:52, one minute late
17:03 is baffling me as it shows leaving Dudley 5 late, and the first stop after Wednesbury 5 late, but not what it did between
17:15 isn't showing, so I don't know what happened to that one
17:23 was there at 17:40 so presumably the one you caught
17:35 was there at 17:41

Thanks Tony

When I got to Wednesbury Bus Station, there was a 311 & 313 both ready to depart towards Dudley.

Guess that's not supposed to happen.

While I was waiting, I only saw one NX go towards Dudley, with one Diamond 23 coming back to Wednesbury.

By the way,  no more complaints about the X51 as my sister will be working in West Bromwich from today, so let's hope the 4 behaves for her!

Westy

Damm just missed a 313!

Bob

There was an X51 branded Gemini in Cannock bus station at 11.45 today at the stop it usually goes from in the morning.  Driver training?

Interesting to read of yet another increase to the X51 frequency from 26 October - with the service being upped to every 15 minutes off-peak Monday-Friday.

I presume this will coincide with the increased interworking with the 997 mentioned previously?

Don't understand how that'd work, the 997 is every 10 surely?

The 997 doesn't need a 10 minute off peak frauency and a few may agree so maybe that will drop to every 15 minutes as well

Bob

Aren't some of the 997s short workings?

trident4370

I definitely agree with Ashley there, I've said for a while now 15 minutes during the daytime would be more than enough for the 997 (15 to pheasey, 30 to walsall).
One thing I am wondering is could the X51 increase just be for the pre Christmas rush or is it hopefully staying like that for good?

Maybe it'll interwork with the Pheasey 997 shorts (4 per hour)

What will be the fate of the high-back seated Geminis, leather seated Enviros and 4733-4737 when the new buses for the X51/997 arrive I wonder?

That'll be a bit of a strange interworking, one is 15 mins the other is every 10/20.
The service changes don't mention any decrease to the 997 though, so is possible
