Not sure if anyone has seen the above video. Basically a breakdown of how they fit the mods. Buses featured are 4524, 4525, 4526 from what I can see.

Good incite into how much work actually goes into upgrading each bus to Euro 6. Doesn't look a 5 minute job though, even though the video is just over 3 minutes it is sped up a lot.

Takes 6 hours per bus according to an article on the National Express Group website.

That is serious amount of work to upgrade to euro 6 emissions , that just makes me think those 4200s that have been done will be around for a good while yet. As I have said before they do  drive so much better the upgraded volvos some really fly now.

It will be interesting to see what (if any) developments come as a result of last weeks' BBC programme Fighting For Air which was set in Kings Heath and is still on Iplayer.

Of course the NX 50 and 35 are Euro6 and Euro4 but the south end of the High Street near St Dunstans school - which featured heavily - sees mainly Euro3 11 and 76.

The 76 will have to be Euro4 for Solihull emissions by July. Trapped ALXs seeing out their days on the 11 at some stage?? We'll have to wait and see.

The idea for the 76 is to trap the 43xx Tridents to Euro 6, so that will help a bit

49 will be the same then. Nice to hear a few more 43** are being trapped, means a few more can return to the City routes.

Will be interesting to see what the 73 gets?
The 73 will need Euro 4 buses from July. And at the moment the 73's main allocation in B7TL ALX400, which are all Euro 3 at AG and all the compliant Gemini will already be being used on routes that need them - 72, 31 and 5?
Local Routes
94/95, 11A/11C, 28.

I was thinking about the 73 too. The 73 is E200 MMC on Saturdays. 4676 (the unbranded red/white Gemini that doesn't have trap) is often on the 72.

Couple more E200MMC from YW maybe? Replaced at YW by a couple of trapped Tridents?

It's just said on the radio that transport bosses are now planning a similar scheme for Walsall after Wolverhampton (WN's is due to be implemented in Sept) in a bid to improve air quality & reduce emissions from buses.

TfWM has been awarded another £1.5 million from the Clean Bus Technology Fund for 2018/19, I assume this will allow for more Euro 6 exhaust upgrades:

The 104 buses for 'Coventry' - is that the NXC fleet or other city council vehicles?

The award is to the city council, so it will be for any operators running into Coventry.

Ah right, that makes sense, two-thirds of the NXC fleet sounded like rather a lot!
