No its not that, there is a fan sound on w109 but theres also a shriek ( sounds like a xbroken car fan belt) on w107/9 & w108 just sounds knackered.  V608 dbc is incredibly slow too. W109 ewu prob holds the record for breakdown's lately. Volvos are normally reliable aren't they?  W109 is the one that broke and got left in the bus station a few weeks ago
