Not sure if this has been mentioned here but there is a survey on the nxwestmidlands website about travel patterns in South West Birmingham

http://nxbus.co.uk/west-midlands/information/service-changes/south-west-birmingham-network-review

Most of the questioned are centred around whether passengers would rather direct frequent services or less direct routes which serve more estates but take a bit longer.

There's also a similar survey for South Birmingham passengers too:

Suspect this will happen quicker than the East Brum survey as they like to put more resources into these areas

Was waiting for a comment about your area being abandoned 😉

Some time off, as they've only just launched the survey! The survey results will give the planners some feedback before they start coming up with review suggestions.

The first page of the survey is indeed to get reactions to various statements. The second part is where you get an opportunity to state the areas you most travel to for work, leisure or other activities, as well as which routes you most/least use.

Just wondering, now that that East Birmingham changes are due to come to fruition, will the South Birmingham review be next in line?

Are there any rumours floating around about what the likely changes may be?

Steveminor

Judging by the east birmingham review they'll probably curtail thd 50 to only run to maypole run the 49 solihull to maypole only & cancel the 29 with no replacement

Says someone who's company has just withdrawn a mass of longstanding journies to run buses in areas they never have before

I would like to see some form of the 62 reincarnated.
The passengers from Longbridge Island to Rednal could do with a direct route to City and Selly Oak. Since part of the Rover site has been demolished theres a lot of new housing along there now.

The X61 needs its frequency increasing during peak times, every 15 mins isnt good enough, the route in City itself is good, but is let down by the ammount of traffic lights the route has to negotiate, and isnt helped by poor traffic light management and pedestrian lights that change unnecessary regardless of being pressed. The X61 needs to display 'Limited stop' too.

The X64 needs to loose its 'X' as its route has now changed is no longer a fast route.

Cant think of any more at the moment. The 22, 23, 24, 29 all seem to work out. I know plenty of regular passengers who use the 29 between Northfield and Frankley...

And nx is as bad. If claribels see a potential to ACHIEVE CUSTOMER SATISFACTION then what's wrong with it? No doubt if it doesn't work out they will go back to old routes. At the end of the days nx brought this on themselves by changing routes. If no change  occured then would Claribels have changed? No
