Re-instate the 62, but run it from City - Cofton Hackett.

From the old 62 terminus to Rednal island, left down to the shops at Cofton (old 47 terminus).
As the 47 is soon to be cut back to Cofton it would serve the 3 stops around Rednal island. And plenty of new housing at Cofton too.
Passengers between Longbridge and Northfield (including Bournville College) only have the 63 as a direct bus straight to City. Most dont want the 98 as it takes longer. Also the main part of Selly Oak used to have 61 62 63, then lost 62 and gained X64, now lost X64.
Night time buses are 15 mins gap between 61 and 63, if one breaks down its a long wait esp for passengers travelling Northfield to Longbridge. The 62 would be a welcome addition, and it fits in numerically.

What do you think @Liverpool Street  ?

Ok thanks @Tony

I feel the 61 and 63 current routes work perfectly, but loosing the direct 62 route and gaining the 98 which takes a long detour off the main Bristol Rd at Selly Oak to rejoin in City isnt fair. It puts a strain on the 63 especially with Bournville College and the new Longbridge retail park. And also now that the X64 doesnt serve the main part of Selly Oak.

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.
