We are going to have our own transport I have just received a tweet saying Laura Shoaf has been appointed Managing Director of Transport for West Midlands.  Wonder what her feelings on bus franchising are!

She was previously West Midlands Strategic Director for Transport.

Met her a couple of weeks ago, seem quite impressed with the current system, new logo attached

Blimey I take that as a tongue in cheek remark,
perhaps she ought to put in her diary to get out a bit!
Got on a bus this morning from shelter with mould and peeling adverts

Only to find there was more mould inside the bus as well.

What's the expression, eyes wide shut!

What will TfWM be responsible for? I just hope it isn't parking enforcement!

The clue for the location of the shelter is on it!
I believe the idea of the sign was promote the 6 as regular service every 10 minutes. The idea didn't catch on...

It's a decal on a bus stop for crying out loud. I mean Darlaston is hardly the safest place is it?!

I am not saying it is your car get nicked every night but I'm saying the bus stops are better except the electronic timetable tells you the time but not what time the bus is but it looks better

@BusFan94 Can you stop posting rubbish that doesn't make sense, proof read your posts before sending them & edit them accordingly using the 'modify' tool (right-hand side), otherwise they will just be deleted to save any more comments from other members, Winston

Firstly 'every 10 minutes' is wrong as the shelter is on the twenty minute 6 spur, secondly, why on earth is there a shelter two stops before the terminus ::), oh I shall answer that anyway....  it previously had the 34 service towards the City (but that's now over 4 years ago).

This shelter and kerbs date back to Primelines.
The way Tile Hill North and Tanyard Farm were served was changed with the introduction of the 6/A in 2012, leaving shelters installed as part of Primelines that are fitted with Real Time Information on the "wrong" side of the road or inconveniently sited on "spurrs".
The culture of 10 minute headway is just a way of downgrading users perception of frequent services and as JPC notes the signage doesn't cope with "split ends", even before late running that means buses rarely turn up every 10 minutes. In reality the sign should say every 10 if the frequency is every 7-8 minutes to reflect reality!
