Think the integral product is equipped with Daimler 4.9 litre engine - don't know if you can choose an alternative. I can't remember if the Gemini 3 has the same angular front end or a more conventional Wright Gemini front - that's the one built on a Volvo chassis. Need to have another look on Flickr.

The Go Ahead Metrobus Hybrids (WHV class) (Gemini 3) have the angular front.

What happened to that 5 year deal where NXWM only brought ADL buses?

Been explained somewhere on the forum - it wasn't an exclusive deal just with ADL. NX are free to buy other manufacturer's buses as well.

It seems there are two Gemini 3 body designs, the 'Nokia' style (but an updated version) and the very angular jaunty StreetDeck look.

If it's a merc engine I hope it's got fire suppression equipment fitted
You know what pensnetts  track record is with Mercs
Where are the fire stations on the nine route just in case other than Stourbridge?

Putting it on 246 might be a safer bet fire station up Dudley in brierley hill half way and down Stourbridge

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

Streetdeck uses the same suspension and chassis as the borismaster , it al so uses a 5 litre Daimler  4 cylinder twin turbo engine mounted inline not transversely as is common these days so no angle drive  , first bus engineers like it great access all round the engine , according to route one the radiators are mounted above the engine and have free air flow apparently the best out there.
Wrightbus wanted to use the Daimler engine in the borismaster but wasn't ready at the time and settled for the cummins lump.

I don't want people seeing me being clumsy on the staircase.

Perhaps it should be classified as a 'CRD4'?   :-)
