It's the end of the Benz as we know it!

Coventry have 'the Benz' but only the ten articulated Mercedes-Benz O530G Citaro's (No's 6012-21). They are the only Merc representatives left in the active NXWM/NXC fleet.

And the driver trainer and Health Bus

Apart from the obvious, what's the difference between the Coventry Bendy Mercs & the normal ones that have been withdrawn?

Are the Bendys DDA ?

The artics are Citaros to start with, not 0405Ns.

The Merc Bendi's are later models i.e. Citaro 0530G's (2003 models) whereas the rigid Mercs just withdrawn are 0405N's 1998/99 models.

All new buses built after 2001 were DDA complaint as standard

I went past CV today and they had some Mercs parked by the entrance, is this where they keep the withdrawn Mercs, I was quite surprised seeing them there

Silly question isn't it as they haven't been withdrawn

Well I thought, as I'm not really familiar with the Coventry fleet, I thought they were as old as the other Mercedes!

It's always worth cross referencing them on the Main Site to check when they were new, it gives you an idea

Think that's withdrawn 1570, 1572, 1579 & 1703. I've got 1659/78 as withdrawn at Coventry too - but not sure they're still there?

1703 was definitely the one I clocked and another was parked alongside it, Im assuming the others were parked within the garage behind the wall as I didn't see anything else
