Trying to think of a few Coventry-related ones; G&G, Vanguard Travel come to mind, Petes operated in Coventry for a while. Mike De Courcey is still going strong today.

Around 1993... West Midland Road Car ran a Tue/Thur/Sat (shopping service?) 193/193A between Solihull/Shrewley and Coventry via Knowle, Balsall Common, Cannon Park and Hearsall Common.

Couple of other independents I recall......

Walsall Travel: white Nationals with sky-blue WT logo, usually parked in Upper Forster Street. Possibly a Thandi-esque company.

Sandwell Travel/Transcentral: run by John Osbourne with a various array of Dodges/Sherpas and other Wadham Stringer bodied buses.
