@BU07 LGO how do you find the seat adjustment in the MMCs? The single deckers have those annoying wind things, not sure if all ADLs have that. Volvos seem to be a much more comfortable cab! The seat takes ages to get right on the MMCs and doesn't go low enough! And the leather is horrible in the heat!

@MW

Don't think I'd fancy leather for the driving seat - prefer normal cushioning. Best cab seat I sat in was a Scania Omnilink - air adjustment and very comfy. Think most of the YW ones don't have the "bounce function" if that makes any sort of sense - where they go up and down in response to the movement of the bus. Think I'd prefer not having that as well!

Yeah the platinums have them too luckily I was comfy as it was in the two I had but I like the leather seat you know its clean compared to fabric that hides all sorts! A lot of drivers sit on metro papers for that reason. The older ones have a button that you press to lift front and another for the back of the seat

Tony

Oldest bus driven - RRR947, learnt to drive in this 1948 lowbridge Leyalnd Titan new to South Notts.
Newest bus driven -  6749 taken from Walsall garage to Aldridge as a change bus to return 4813 to Perry Barr last Friday

In between approximately 2000 different buses!

If the spotters started a similar thread. The forum would explode lol. Liking the variety in the lists though.

John

Off the top of my head, I've had

All of our Current Gemini's, including 4524, 4525 and 4526

Most of our Current ALX400s (4235-46, 4252-7, 4276-91). I don't recall ever having 4241 as I wanted to drive it in TWM livery (as it was the last one)
Also had WB 4269. Plus 4300-4 when we had them

All ex-Coventry OmniLinks and 1905-7
All of 1837 to 1847, as well as BY 1800
7025, 7027 (first bus in service), 7029 to 7033

All MK2 Enviro400s (33s and Suttons)

4801, 4802, 4812, 4822

All OmniCltys

The only 2 buses I recall driving in TWM livery are 4779 (type training) and 1842 on the 28 a couple of times

GeminiFan1991

I've always wanted to ask a driver so I shall but have you noticed if a bus drives differently depending on the route ?!
