Probably because all the 'real' nines were running up to 75 minutes late, so NXWM do something sensible and put a replacement bus out while the one on that running board is stuck in traffic.

I'm impressed...surprised they would be able to find drivers at the last minute though, do NX have spares who sit in the garage until needed?

No just the driver was waiting for his bus to relieve and it wasn't going to turn up soon, so use a bus that is due to run back to garage.

There is a fatal accident at Stone Cross tonight (not involving a bus) on the 45 service which has trapped two buses in a crime scene. West Bromwich have also duplicated two running boards

According to a friend of a friend of a friend, an MMC has been on 205/02 from this morning, so on 714 & 205.

Thanks Tony. The quote was along the lines of "Did you see that new number 9 bus on the 714?" so may have been referring to another day. I think it is 4808 on 205/02 actually.

It appears 6122 has come out to play, someone has posted a picture of it on facebook in Dudley Bus Station on the 205!

There was a ticket branded one on there too. One of 4927 - 4931? And, just to clarify (perhaps, if someone could answer in the PB thread), with the 16/101 upgrading/ed to earlier Enviros, surely we can see more 61/63 plates on there also?
