I didn't want to make multiple threads so I thought I'd just make one thread and cover everything.

1) I was back in Midlands a couple of weeks ago. Looked like half of Pool Meadow bus station was being dug up. (Why?)
I did look to see if this was explained anywhere.

2) I had two different drivers want to take a look at my ticket on different days. Is this a bid to tackle misuse of daysavers/n tickets/fare evasion in general? (I had a one day N bus on one ocassion and a plain old daysaver on the other.

3) Back in Preston meanwhile...

I spotted a Leyland Lynx a few weeks ago, I thought I'd share.

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

Is 31215 still in service? If so, good to see a Lynx in service somewhere  :D, managed to spot it last summer in the Bus Station working a 14, which caught me off guard. Definitely one i want to catch when i'm in Preston, some point this year...
Hypocrites are like flares... a right pain if one goes near you, and really annoying to get rid of...

Sorry I don't know Preston buses by their fleet numbers yet!

I'm not sure how many Lynx's there are or their allocations (other than school work like I witnessed in the image)
However, I regularly see Olympian(s) out on the Park and ride, that might be of interest to some.

I might take an early morning walk to the bus garage at some point, with brighter mornings now I could get some interesting photo's (all be it from my phone).
