I remember when i was younger, that Choice Travel ran a service 572 and service 573, both of which served Willenhall, but i don't know where they went to and from. I remember seeing, what i think is, a Dennis Falcon on there, around 2002/3

Can anyone shine a light on these?

Thanks

They did indeed - found a timetable dated 7th Jan 2002 for the 878 from Cannock to Codsall, went via Great Wyrley, Landywood, Essington, Featherstone, Brinsford and Fordhouses then across to Codsall.  Ran every 2 hours Mon-Sat, was fully supported by SCC.  Not sure how long it lasted, don't think it was very long.

From memory they were circulars (one  clockwise & the other anticlockwise!).

They went near to the Choice(now Arriva) depot in Wednesfield.

Service 57 partly replaced them at the Wolves & West Walsall review a few years back!

I managed to dig out a July 2004 Centro Map. This had the 572/3 as run by Pete's at that time (pretty sure this was a totally tendered service not commercial).

The 572 ran in a circle from Wolverhampton anti-clockwise via Priestfield, Ettingshall, Bilston, The Lunt, Willenhall, Little London, Neachell, Wednesfield and, Heath Town. The 573 ran the same route clockwise.

Each service was hourly Monday to Friday daytime.

Ahh, that would make sense now, didn't think it was operated by Choice, couldn't think who ran it, so at the time, i thought it was Choice. Thanks for that  :)

Well like most Tenders it probably changed operators from time to time, so I wouldn't be surprised if Choice had run it at some point!

I can remember Stevensons, Zaks & Metropolitan operating as well as Choice.

57 didn't directly replace 572 and 573, these had long gone and were 574 and 575 by this time.
