Bus station problems

Halesowen seems to have quite a few problems regarding buses and timetable. For example the nx 4H is due out at :03 past the hour, but likes to hog the stand. So it usually goes in about 57 past. Then the 99 comes behind at 58 past, and quite often the 99 will not go to the stand in front, but will just park alongside and let the passengers walk in front of the 4H to get to the 99. Surely this isn't safe.
Also the stand where the 002,004,142 share can get rather busy, again if an 004 is running slightly early getting into halesowen at 56 past or 26 past, then the 142 will come along, sometimes running slightly late, but then has to wait for the 004 to pull off, which then usually comes back round and waits again for a bit. Surely these should have different stands.

Merry hill bus station to old not big enough unfit for purpose

What should be done with merry hill is take half of the car park outside Maplin away and extend the bus station...Although we'd probably end up with a Stourbridge style monstrositys!

All opinions and onions mentioned on here are mine and not those of any employer, current, past, present or future, or presented as fact, unless I prove it otherwise.

I think the tarmac is in, but precious little sign of anything else happening.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Very true Karl, i would have thought they would have used the chance when they had it to knock down that large store and car park at the top and make that into a proper bus station.

Store sold again and it's to far for passengers to walk up and down hill

Take it that is Merry Hill owners view point, strange that if you travel to Birmingham, Dudley & Stourbridge, you have to walk in some cases a fair distance to the shops.

Lets look at the merry hill owners view point again. By allowing a new bus station to be built in merry hill centre the following things will need to happen. The old/current bus station would need to be demolished, the new bus station would need to be built, the extra area for the new bus station would need to be created, the front of merry hill right by the bus station will need to be partly blocked off so users would not be affected. all these things take time, and if W'ton and s'bridge are anything to go by they will take around a year to a year and half.

Many days of the week, I think we can all agree merry hill gets congested. So by having buses parking up and pulling up at the side of fairly narrow streets anyway you can imagine the amount of congestion, Now some of you may use the reason ''use the boulevard as the area for the buses to park up and use''. This would be very silly, this is because the high amount of cars using this road to avoid the main traffic for the car parks would be forced to use times square avenue again causing high congestion.

BAD FOR BUSINESS

So as Merry hill owners Intu are in controll of the land they have to look from a business POV and it just dosen't benefit Merry Hill at all.

Overall there is no plausible way for merry hill to have a new bus station created with out the surrounding area and customers being at a disadvantage.

Not sure if i made full sense but feel free to point out anything I may have missed or your opinion. :)

Under the plans for a new bus station that was going ahead the car park by the petrol station was going to be the new bus station the current bus station would have stopped open while the new one was built upon completion new one opens old one shuts old bus station was going to be put back to a car park

Well eventually you will get the situation where the old bus station will be deemed unsafe to use, then you will have to have bus stops here, there and everywhere while it is sorted out. That is going to inconvenience people.

In my opinion, the bus station should be sorted out now, before it has to be done, the owners of Merry Hill are being rather short sighted.

How come there always seems to be an issue with Walsall St Pauls every few weeks, with a stand or two being unavailable?
