Won't happen, at least the 9 one won't, NXWM are reluctant to operate outside of the nBus zone, and given that Hagley and Kidderminster are out of said zone, it's unlikely that they would extend any services into that zone, as well as possibly messing about with 9 could do damage further along the route, on one of the most established routes that they operate. As well as these, the journey time would be increased and would require a higher PVR than current, which would mean Pensnett would need more resources. So all in all, it would be a very unfeasible proposition, at least for NXWM.

I have no idea about the 142, so can't go into detail about it

Dont understand this reluctance to operate outside the NBus zone.

They still operate the main service in Wombourne, plus they still operate a regular service to Burntwood from Walsall.

Wombourne is unavoidable as its on the Wolves to Stourbridge route, but even Arriva & Chase before it had a go between Walsall & Burntwood & where are they now!

I can't see much need for it, they can get the 192 into halesowen then 9 to birmingham
Or 318 and 125 to stourbridge, then 9 to birmingham

Anyone from Birmingham to Hagley is going to use the half hourly train anyway.

That's quite apart from probably destroying the economics of the Kidderminster-Bridgnorth section of the 125

To extend the 142 to Hagley wouldn't be commercially viable as the market is currently only able to support the commercial 318.

The 9 suffers timekeeping issues at peak/shoulder peak times so to extend to Hagley would make it worse.

2/3 an hour from Hagley, 2 from Blakedown

I know. I was thinking of Kidderminster for some reason, tired (it's 3tph to Hagley)

Back when bus deregulation first took place, it didn't stop Travel West Midlands from operating outside the West Midlands and WMPTE area, they used to operate evening journeys on the 318 to Redditch & i am sure they operated other services to.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

It's 3 most hours but 2 some, hence why I said 2/3

It's only 2 per hour early mornings really, it's probably hourly more(evenings and Sundays) Than half hourly

Its three an hour from  1000-1800 to Kiddeminster, and even longer the other way, since they  gained a through Worcester service in December.

The X92 used to be between Birmingham and Hereford via Kidderminster and Ludlow, as a picture of the timetable is in a book i have on WMPTE

Yes i am sure that the X92 & X20 were operated, and numerous Travel West Midlands early morning journeys especially on Sundays were operated by Midland Red West.
