There's probably a simple reason - eg staff sickness in the trim section, or WN are running low on repaint/re trim funds. However it's currently another Hercules Poirot mystery - surprising an official view hasn't been quoted. Do we know if 4596 has been re-trimmed?

I can only describe it as quite extraordinary!! I wonder if the budget things close to the truth - after all WN have had to get a very large number of Tridents repainted to meet the end of 2014 completion. Absolutely bonkers in my view, NXWM!!

Is 4613 definitely still at Carlyle? I would've thought it would've been at Walsall for repainting by now. 4341's engine came in useful in the end then?

Well they probably won't be if they still have the original upholstery. And if they're threadbare etc etc will hardly look and feel like a new vehicle to the public which I understand to be part of the reason for doing the work - to raise quality perception.

I agree, these were the very first buses to appear in the new livery and most are looking very faded and shabby now.

Just out of interest, when will buses be painted in the new livery? I would have thought the sooner the better considering it took about 8 years to change from TWM to NXWM.

YW 4392 has now turned up at Trailways, not sure yet if for full repaint/retrim or just repairs, but it was one of the first Tridents in Red/White, so is due!
