I had a play around with 104 whilst waiting time in Stourbridge. Surprised to find "Harborne 64", "Rubery, Morrisons 64" and "QE Hospital 64E" still available. "Wolverhampton 558" is also still there. I tried 125 and 11E but they had gone.

I noticed today that Green Bus were operating the 28E on the 28's line of route (Straight down Linthouse Lane to Woodend Island) then up Prestwood Road West instead of Arriva's line of route of Ridge Lane,Moat-House Lane West,Bellamy Lane then onto Prestwood Rd West.

Heard a lit of people making comments today like "A Double Decker on the 142! I don't believe it!"

Just seen this around The Mucro Petrol Station where TGB fill up
Had blinds roller saying 559 Ashmore Park via Wednesfield

I presume it has been sold and not belong to TGB anymore?

Yeah, it has been bought by an employee who's in the process of restoring it to original spec & heritage livery

Its opening front windows were donated by 3013

I prefer it when they only have one hopper. Gives it some character.

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

PD1050400/84 - THE GREEN TRANSPORT COMPANY LIMITED, 386 PARK ROAD, HOCKLEY, BIRMINGHAM, B18 5ST
        Registration Accepted
        Starting Point: BIRMINGHAM TOWN HALL
Finish Point: MERRY HILL SHOPPING CENTRE
Via: HARBORNE, BARTLEY GREEN AND HALSOWEN
        Service Number: 22
        Service Type: Normal Stopping
        Effective Date: 28-FEB-2014
Other Details: Monday to Saturday service

Sounds as though is maybe providing some competition for Diamond's 002 & Hanson's 004 depending on actual routing.

The choice of route number also makes me think that there are NX 22 changes / or the route is being re-numbered  as part of the South B'ham network review

the trainbasher

Logically if you wanted to go to merry hill or halesowen from Birmingham what would you catch?

Same from Harborne?

Same from Bartley Green?

Same from Halesowen to Merry Hill/Birmingham?

Plus the harborne to city and halesowen corridors surely are saturated too much already?

Looks like the cat's out the bag...

The 22 will indeed follow the NX 22 route to Bartley Green, then turn right by the memorial and follow the 002's route to Merry Hill.

I believe it will have a 30 minute frequency, with Tridents 108-113 intended for use on there. It will also serve Five Ways school in Bartley Green at peak times. I presume this is to lighten the crowded load on the FW1 and FW7.

Regarding the 50/50A changes, the 50A to Redditch is being withdrawn. I think the 50's operating hours are being extended into the evening, but not sure on that one.

I hope it goes well for The Green Bus, a good move for them. But wouldn't it have more chance of success if it departed from Colmore Row rather than Paradise Circus?
