One of these?

Not sure if it is an Ensign one. They have it on loan as a trial and if successful will lease some from one of the leasing companies who have had them returned from London

Santander have them listed as well but also for sale, the photos are identical to the ones on the Ensign web page
https://www.santanderusedassets.co.uk/pages/CF013/asset/11318.asp#

WMBus group has a post stating the one Greenbus currently have is LX08ECY

Yes it is Santandar who Green Bus are looking at, and it is for lease not purchase

Might seem a silly question but if they are losing work and have lost work, do they need more buses?

my thought exactly, the other day Green Bus had a bus parked at the end of Colmore Row for a few hours (Running Board was HC2), if buses can stand idle like that, surely they don't need any more buses.

Running board HC2? I wonder why it had that

Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

It could have done a private hire for a school or group to the German market and was able to fit around HC2 requirements.

Trident 4609

But Green Bus don't do the HC2 anymore. Passed to Evergreen Coaches in November so wouldn't fit round HC2 requirements

I don't know why but it takes me back to the days of Spectras on the 50! Could be the similar back end/front windscreen I guess, It looks very nice though, to a certain extent it looks better than the NX 50s, mainly because all the red is the same shade with no faded patches!

LX08 ECY was my 50 this afternoon, many people around Kings Heath thought it was a NX 50

What are they like to travel on / condition etc? Do you reckon its something Greenbus may go for?

The interior condition was fine, the bus seemed pretty nifty but comfortable. I'd say if TGB can afford them, then they will probably buy more.

I'm surprised TGB can afford such modern buses, I expect Ensign were selling them at a knock-down price

I thought it had been posted that they were looking to lease some rather than buy?

Ahh - that explains it. It will be interesting to see if they stick to the 50 or if they put them on school services.

I wish they still ran the 558, would've been nice seeing an Omnicity in Dudley/Wolves!
