What job you got at CB?

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

It was ran by The Green Bus, they loaned 2 darts from Central Buses, one for the 335 and 213/4  :)

Not all operators have their own fuel pumps. I used to see Green Buses fuelling up at the Texaco garage on Kingstanding Road frequently a while back. You do also see lots of other small operators also using petrol stations

Some of green bus alao use a petrol station

Not the only operators to do this either. Banga Travel and Travel Express both use the Petrol Station Just off Dudley Rd/Birmingham Rd

re fuel, even if an operator has their own tank, it can sometimes be necessary to fill up elsewhere for many reasons. when i used to be on the coaches, sometimes we got a better deal using fuel cards than having fuel in the tank at depot. sometimes deliveries were day slots so if you were getting close to running out it may be necessary to fill up elsewhere. you also need to have funds available before delivery, and you need to buy a decent amount to get a good deal.

Green Bus and VIP all use Murco petrol station opposite where I live on New John Street West using fuel cards

Liverpool Street

Midland Rider used public fueling stations regularly.

For obvious reasons of course.
