My turn now...........extremely rare if it's broke down.

Quite possibly the most reliable vehicle we have is 4001

Not sure when Nathan saw it broken down?

It came out of garage to replace 5404 on the 59s. After one round trip it was taken off the 59s and put on the 255s replaced on the 59 by 2014

I saw 4001 parked up unattended earlier on one of the Stands but thought nothing of it but i was told 4001 had broken down by a mate later on it had broken down. Obviously not...

Cheers for that info. Wasn't aware it worked a 59.

Why do they do that, Use the inverse for the 255E that is?

Presumably to identify the short working, if they want to do that, don't know why its not done for all short workings!

The reverse video was introduced on the 255E by Simon Mathieson just after it was renumbered from 254, after complaints from the Wall Heath brigade at a Dudley TUF meeting.  They wanted the 254 number reinstated and this was a compromise to make it clear that the bus is a short working.

It's a good idea, and I am surprised that it has not been extended to other regular "E" services.

In addition, 1662 was on the 255 today.  It replaced 4584 which was taken out of service at Merry Hill this morning with a damaged nearside panel, having apparently come into contact with something near Swindon.

What is the matter with anybody who lives in Wallheath, they can't see destinations on buses properly, they need a bus service direct to the hospital just in case in the next 50 years, someone may need to go to there.

I am glad for once that NE have gone by there word, they said use the 205 or loose it, they didn't use it so now, apart from a handful of journeys, they have lost it.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Yup, good to see a B6 working out in the night! 600 was serving an all day board on the 25 circular route today.

Yes this worked the 19:25 25C from Wolverhampton. Passed it at Long Knowle Lane at 20:55. Usually a Merc on this board however 4586 worked that board yesterday.

On Saturdays this trip is a B6 which comes off the 27

Out of curiosity,  how many passenger's per bus makes the journey worthwhile operating?

That's a very good question.

I have caught the 205 from Wallheath church quite a few times and each time, if there was 2 passengers on board then it was a good day. I would presume that all operators accept that the fact that certain journeys will be quiet, it is just when most journeys are quiet that the service becomes unviable

Every other Friday I quite often catch the 8.55pm Diamond 205 towards Wallheath down to K'ford, if there is more than just me on board it is unusual.
