at Colmore Gate this a.m. White protective clothed Balfour Beatty workers waiting for a concrete pour at long last. Concrete pumping equipment in position with pipes to the area adjacent to the crossing for pedestrians. A problem. How do we get the concrete lorry to the pumping equipment over the upper Bull St 'out bound' track? After much discussion and telephoning the solution after about 3 hours was to bring in a lorry load of spoil to cover the track to allow the concrete delivery vehicle to reverse up to the pumping equipment over the track. Did it work? I don't know my CP ticket forced me to leave. Surely someone should have identified and addressed the issue before the planned pour.
