First Bus - Leicester

For some absolutely unbeknown reason, 66692 and 66693 will be moving here from Worcester at sometime in the future. These are B7RLE Centro's, which will be refurbished internally, as well as upgraded to Euro 6. This was confirmed on the midlandred forum, by Nigel Eggleton. Very strange move...

I believe 66692 and 66693 are the chosen ones as they already received a light interior refurb in 2015 (Along with 66694) unlike the rest of the batch which should be retained at Worcester.

My thought is they may be for use on Leicester's route 13 (Replacing the Volvo B7RLEs that were used previously) ?

That would be a justified reason. Someone (I think @leicesterbusadventurer) said 66972/3/4/5 were on loan, however this probably isn't true. Still odd that we are gaining older vehicles.

It's better than going to scrap. 66973 is having the same treatment. I see some update has been inputted for 66965 on bustimes.org. Do you know what this is?

First seem to be using or trialing a new format for their destination blinds. It's slightly like some of Arriva's vehicles, but the positioning is different. It can be seen on all vehicles except the Volvo B7L's, as flipdot isn't compatible with it.

When you say format, do you mean like the example shown in the top photo for Arriva's 2500, used in their Oswestry and Shrewsbury fleet? http://wmbusphotos.com/Arriva/2500.html

Same font, but the positioning is different.

66971 is now at West Yorkshire, I'm not sure which depot.

Yes, may have been used at Bradford initially for a short time but suspect it'll become a trainer at Bramley, 974/5 I think are both now trainers and guess 972 is also being converted.

32644 is back and alive. This time taking a turn on the 18, taking over 69442, so that could go to the 21.

Of the six StreetDecks from "up north", plus 35169, - can anyone tell me if they are all in Leicester garage currently; -- have any had their repairs completed; -- and have any disappeared somewhere ( - like for a repaint)  ?????
