If a company is axing a service/changing a timetable etc and its been registered with vosa do they have to advertise it on buses eg posters notices bus stops leaflets to inform passengers?

stuartn

Yes they should do as it keeps passengers informed of the changes.

Bob

But they aren't required to by law or vosa or anything etc?

Justin Tyme

There is a legal requirement to register changes with the Traffic Commissioner, but no legal requirement to notify passengers!

There is also a legal requirement to notify the local authority

Why the question?

Bob

Cause arriva never notified passengers that the 74a was being withdrawn and the 19. They changed the actual timetable on the website but if you had no idea it was changing you wouldn't look for the timetable!  People complained about it on their Facebook page
