Stagecoach pretending to be NX Coventry on Foleshill Road...

Sorry for the poor image quality, it was a rushed shot as we were trying to get the bus to start as the starter switch had randomly stopped working, hence a driver in the background!

Why do Stagecoach have the 4 programmed into their display? Have Stagecoach ever ran trips on there?

They have several of the pre-Network Review services programmed on the blinds (21C, 32C, 36 etc.), it was for the New Years Day services which were contracted out and won by Stagecoach for the last few years until NX started running them themselves. I was present on 2 occasions, directing drivers.

It turns out that the hourly X17 extension to JLR Gaydon has been cut back to be peak-only.

Until stumbling across this just now, I had seen absolutely nothing suggestive of this change.

The U1/U2 will no longer serve the Security Gatehouse stop at the university from Monday 30th, but will serve a new stop on the still-unfinished Academic Loop road, and will operate in both directions on the southerly part of the campus loop.
The U17 will operate through the campus as normal towards Leamington, but will now operate in the other direction (anti-clockwise) towards Coventry.
There will be some small changes again when the mini bus station is finished this autumn.

28 branded Enviro on X16 to Willenhall this morning
Driver very sensibly drove over from Stratford with Coventry on the destination display.

Needless to say the photo that came out had no via points showing!

They may have been told similar to what Nuneaton has been told to do on their 55 service, as nobody knows where on earth Horeston Grange is, they've told drivers to display Nuneaton then change the blind over at Nuneaton to Horeston Grange. Some drivers of course just ignore that and display Horeston Grange anyway. Wonder if the X16 drivers have been told the same... The 86 is the really confusing one because it displays "Woodlands" which most people in Coventry see as the Woodlands in Bedworth, not Rugby.

Tony

I have just put the latest fleet changes on the homepage of the main site.
Of note is Olympian 16695 has been reinstated at Stratford to replace Burnt out 16617

Rare appearance of Olympian 16615 on U17 today.
By taking it in shade it shows up the limited internal lighting of that generation of double deckers.

That is quite remarkable.  I rode on 16615 yesterday (Saturday) on the X15 between Cov and Leamington - I thought that was noteworthy.  To my surprise it was painfully slow on the A46 - that batch of Olympians used to be fliers.

I guess the newer deckers are all at Silverstone.

Good point about Silverstone as there is a Dart on U17 as well today mind you it is vacation period.
Been watching the Grand Prix intermittently and only Stagecoach buses visible close to the track are Darts.
