Refurbs

Is 4536,4542 or 4544 back yet. Haven't seen 4543 in a few weeks. Is this going in for repaint/refurb

2 referbs have been brought over from Walsall today
4536 was in the garage this evening I presume this was one of them

Is does seem that the refurb program for the Mark II mercs has ended at 1647

The problem is, in the short to medium term, can you see enough single deckers coming along to replace the Mercs?

Well 1645 is one that really does confuse me, they've gone to all the trouble and expense of having it re-engined and digital destination equipment put in yet its still going round with 15 year old paint work and a really worn interior, and I really do hope a few more Merc's get a refurb as there still great buses

Not at present, but NX policy is to buy new rather than refurb existing which can only be a good thing.....

There is always a possibility NX could bring the 2014 orders forward to be able to buy more new Euro 5 buses rather than the more expensive new Euro 6 models

It still looks odd to see an LED Merc in TWM livery though!

4111 is back in service refurbed, it was on the 11A today so I think that means AG has now become the first garage to have a fleet entirely in new livery? Also not sure if anyones noticed this before but since the volvo sheds were delivered for the 71/72, I think they are now the second garage to have a fleet with 0 paper blinds, after Bordesley. How times change!

How about BC, they've eradicated Paper blinds with the Enviro 200's haven't they? So that's 3 garages, and looking at the opposite I reckon PE are probably the worst off with all their Merc's and B6's

Forgot all about BC, yeah that'd make them the third garage to do that! I suppose the fact Pensnett are fitting some mercs with LED's helps them a bit.

4544 was on the 1 today but never got chance for a photo, got 4602 though
