One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

I quite like them. Think these look smarter now than when the new ones were delivered to Yardley Wood and Acocks Green.
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

I have never rated them TBH, but I'm amazed at how the livery on these latest has been simplified even more, with branding white over red, and those embarrassing connecting bars dispensed with completely.
Don't you start.

I'm not their greatest fan, and it annoys me that NX bought Polish built instead of British built buses, but I have to say that the dreadful NX livery looks far better on these and the Omnicity double decks than it does on any other vehicle type in the fleet.

It does sit well on 4777 and sisters, I will admit that.

They're still clean and undented for now, mind you...

4160 now gone for refurb, joining 4152 & 4161, so that only leaves 3 BC ones from the 41xx batch in use (4142/53/7).

1837 is now back in use at PB on the 28 today
