Saw 4497 being towed down Newtown Row yesterday by an RS Recovery lorry. I'm assuming this was heading somewhere to have parts removed before being sent for scrap?

There was a bus set on fire at night on Wednesday 15th in Bham (i think)

Anyone know which bus and garage it belonged to? I have seen the video of it on fire.

Does anyone have an up to date status of 4218? Is it still complete?

Reported elsewhere that 4306, 4308, 4327, 4328 now withdrawn from PN.
Surely these would be ideal candidates to use on the Open Day Shuttles for their last time in service?

I recall @Tony that the intention at 2017 Bus Bash was for 4181/3 to be used on the shuttles at the event for their last time, which made me think of this

If they are then they are, I was just stating something that had been mentioned to me  ;)  Makes sense to really as someone on here said they'd be withdrawn soon

I have been interested in the Birmingham areas buses for over 60 years now and, in my opinion the Tridents and Volvo B7TLs now being withdrawn are in the best condition of any withdrawn buses I can remember.

The Presidents were still in fairly good condition too when they were withdrawn, the fact that they've found continued work both at The Green Bus and at other operators must be saying something.

Any views/comments are my own and do not reflect those of my employer.

Suppose you don't really know what their condition is 'under the bonnet' and perhaps the state of the chassis, despite the generally tidy appearance.
