The silver on the toothpaste livery isn't paint. it is silver sticky back vinyl, which is quite a skilled job to reapply, even if you can get some. That was the biggest problem with that livery and why it didn't last long

Thanks for clarifying Tony!

And here you can see the 'toothpaste' livery, without the silver stripes, fourth pic down:

My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

Not forgetting another livery that never saw the light of day on the trident behind 1415!

What was the actual point in the whole blue branding & the point in the whole white branding

I was just thinking about the 997 livery behind on the trident that was never used was they just trying to design the branding for when the enviro's arrive for the service or was the idea to replace the gemini's with the older london tridents

The 'whole blue' painting of 1415 (and also 1467) was because at the time, they were going to replace this: (third pic down)

1415 and 1467 were to become the new Blythe Valley shuttle branded buses on the S9, as AG were withdrawing B6LEs, until Silverline won the contract.

Best livery they've had, Toothpaste.  Shame it was a bugger to maintain.

Though the PB E400's seem to have lasted reasonably well.

Even without the stripes the toothpaste livery looked excellent, especially on the Single Deckers, that B10's certainly been through the liveries, but as for the 997 Trident, glad they didn't run with that, it wouldn't have lasted a couple of weeks if that before it became dirty beyond washable

Isn't it about time that the NXWM livery was the same for all its vehicles instead of it being a bit current, previous and previous before previous, especially as so many years have passed since the change of name? You dont see many Stagecoach,Arrriva or First buses in non corporate livery.

I reckon several thousand First bus vehicles are not in their current livery.
In fact in Manchester last week I only saw 3 buses in their current livery

And of course Arriva never replace panels and not put the full livery back on do they?

What should we be looking for in that photo, as the livery looks fine to me.

The Arriva cow horn is missing below the drivers window and doesn't link in to the white band across the front

The whole front is a diferent shade of green along with the battery flap under cab window!

Even if Ray Stenning (Best Impressions) has met with NX bus directors, changing the livery this far down the line is a major exercise, we would then have a fleet with 4 different liveries i.e. TWM, TWM toothpaste, NX Current & another new livery? It's taken 4.5 years to get this far...... NX have/are taking delivery of 172 new buses in the current NX livery (excluding Hybrids, 2013 & 30 Midi's). If a new livery was introduced priority should be given to painting TWM / TWM toothpaste liveried buses first to reduce the number of liveries.

I believe the 4177 (Julie) exercise/experiment was more of a prototype for future branding / special livery rather than a possible new fleet livery. May be NX are considering introducing special liveries for certain corridors / routes, possibly similar to what Go North East have done and has proven to boost ridership & growth

Well let's hope Mr Stenning has gone in there and been inspired to come up with something that we can all be proud of in terms of a new livery - something that is applied consistently to all buses in a timely fashion. Fingers crossed!
