Young buses written off

Following on from the news of brand new Borismaster LT62 which could be a write off following its recent accident, I was wondering about cases in the past when buses have been written off when almost new following a crash?

Not exactly new but 4336 was barely 9 years old when it was written off with fire damage, was a great bus at YW too :(

Also, Metrobuses 2662 & 2711 were quite early withdrawals due to accidents

Metrobus 2773 was about 5 or 6 years old if I recall correctly when it was withdrawn following a serious accident.

That's the first one I thought of, however I wasn't really going to count arsene attacks/mass depot fires

There was a Trident with First Manchester that was completely gutted when nearly new. I will link when I find the picture on Flickr

Also, don't forget Stagecoach London 17758 'LX03 BUF'. only 2 years old

5102 (HHA102L) wasn't that old when it went for a trip into Dartmouth Circus, there are some pics on Flickr but can't them at present.

Going back a long way (and showing my age), as a young lad growing up in South Birmingham with the Pershore Road NOV---G and Bristol Road SOE---H Fleetlines, I always wondered why there was no 3907 SOE907H. Only stumbled across this picture recently which shows why. From the comments below looks like I wasn't the only one wondering about the missing fleet number:

I very much doubt there is £342,000.00 worth of repairs needed, which is what is needed to write a brand new NBFL off.

Regardless of money, the issue with crashes like these is whether a repair is even possible, there is going to be much more damage to that NBFL than is visible

It's to my understanding 1623 was taken early in its life. As with 4012(?)
