I was told some time ago that the anti clockwise 11a service was operated by AG and the clockwise service operated by PB- does this arrangement still stand?
Mind the Gap.....?:-)

You're right, AG and PB did use to operate this route in the one direction each, but a few years ago, it was transferred in full to AG garage.
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

The first 22(?) Geminis were new to AG and the final 23(?) were new to Perry Barr. It then moved over solely to AG.

Perry Barr run some school journeys. AG also run some schools journeys, so really the PVR of the 11 is higher than 42, as the school journeys are available to the public.

I can't speak for school services at other garages, but I know that AG's 841, 885 and 899 services, all show 'Available to the public' on the LED displays.

And I did get on the old S803 service a couple of times, when Metrobuses operated on it, and the driver never stopped me.  ::)

Yes, I believe most NXWM school services are registered as Local Bus Services, and are therefore available to the general public.  There may still be some "closed door" school contracts - if so, these will not be registered as Local Bus Services.  Many years ago, West Midlands Travel did run a few school contracts numbered in an S series (e.g. S91), but I think these have gone.

When is the 11 going to go fully president operated?

It's already half President or nearly half President operated thanks to the departure of the 45** Geminis. The 5 requires 9 Geminis and then you get a few on the 31/37.

Tony

The 5 only need 6 buses

Nathan4775

I know some School services operated by Perry Barr say "Avalible to the General Public" same for WA's School Services

BC should really introduce a 22S & 23S that only operate from Birmingham - That school in Harborne, becuase the kids that board that bus are Loud ::), i remember me and quite a few passangers got off and waited for the next bus it was that bad
