Age doesn't come into it with National Express. They're a very mature company regarding ages, and if you portray very positive things in the interview, you'll have the position.

Bear in mind they do seem to favour internal applicants.

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

I feel disheartened after been turned down when applying for a cleaning position. I thought the interview went well but hey ho!

Probably over-qualified, it's likely for those auxiliary positions.

How can you be over qualified for a cleaners position, surely if you apply for it, they know you accept what that job involves?
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Well would you employ someone who is too qualified for the position, just to replace them 6 months later when their ideal job comes available?

Anyway, to get back on topic, I'd recommend applying for the position, and structure your responses around the job description.

Would NXWM employ someone who is autistic as a bus cleaner as I would love to do that as I did that for my work experience at Walsall Garage?

As long as the disability doesn't affect the way you do the job, then they cannot discriminate.

Providing you're honest in your application form, then you've done your bit. And to quote from myself;  I'd recommend applying for the position, and structure your responses around the job description.

Trust me I have been told by Park Lane that i could work for NX and they are aware of my Asperger's Syndrome :) As said by LS if your Autism/Aspergers doesn't get in the way of your job then you should be fine :)
