One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

Cheers for that Mike K. I might ask Tony to merge the two topics.

I'd be on the spare rota get to do a bit of everything, rather have variety than spend every day on the same routes

Trident 4609

You mean you hope you will be on the Spare Rota? Wasn't there a thread some time back similar to this which included starter rotas too?

I'm sure the starter/beginner rota at WN is the 11/26/62/A

I mean, if I was a driver at Pensnett (or when I am hopefully!), out of choice I'd be on the spare rota for the reason given above

Not sure if there is a starter rota at Pensnett or what's on it?

You wouldn't want to be on there for long as you don't know what you'll be doing until the Thursday prior.

Good point - wouldn't like to suddenly find out I'm doing an early tomorrow morning. Having said that, I suppose the element of surprise would appeal to me

the trainbasher

Looking at the Pensnett one

Statistically you would be more likely to get a E400 on the Stourbridge, B7 or merc on the Dudley and Merc on the Merry Hill Rota
