Johnsons buses do not have fleetnumbers, so not sure what you are referring to

Presumably this: https://bustimes.org/operators/johnsons-excelbus/vehicles

56 is E400MMC SK71CLJ (which has been nowhere near the 87/88 today according to bus times. 57 however, has.

I am told it's true that a double decker was on the 88 - according to bustimes it was 57 (Enviro 400 SK71 CLN).  It's the first time I've known a double decker be used on the 88.

I've not heard of one reaching Moreton-in-Marsh, but double deckers seem to have been used on all other services.

If you want to find out whats been on route 88 use Regional Vehicle Finder and run query "history JBH-88" to find all vehicles used on 88. I did see a double decker one afternoon last summer but didn't get picture.

On bus times all Johnsons buses have 2 digit numbers infront of them in the same way NX and Diamond do. Could it be that they just don't display them externally on vehicles like NX and Diamind do?

Landflight and Claribels have numbers as well on there, though they don't on the actual vehicles. They might be ticket machine numbers or something as well?

Yeah, it's a Ticketer ID for that vehicle iirc

There's also a way to do that on bustimes, by going to this page, you can see everything that's been on there, currently as far back as November.

Most operaters are experiencing driver shortages but it seems Johnsons have been struggling. Last Saturday they were gonna pretty much hardly run the X20 and 150 but I believe in the end managed to run a service every two hours . It was said in response to a complain that they are 11 drivers short of fulfilling their rotas.

And it is stunning, great addition to the fleet. What went in place of it?

I'm unsure whether it's a direct replacement, but I've heard they were ridding themselves of their VDL Futuras
