I strangely miss the whole concrete monstrosity that the City Centre used to be. I know it is more opened up now and more aesthetically pleasing, but man the simpleness of not stopping at multiple sets of traffic lights on Moor Street Queensway.

I have put a video on Youtube I filmed 33 years ago of the driver's eye view of the 37 (now 4) route. Bits of this have been on there before but this is the first time I have put the whole route on including the city centre

Thanks for that, great bit of nostalgia!

2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley

I had to film it in the evening when the running time to Solihull was 27 minutes because the tapes in the video only lasted 30 minutes!

4657 on 4  today. One of its drive belts is slipping, screeching away when the engine is revved up.

Notice the x12's are going direct via Bromford Road today.

What is thinking behind 3225 being shown as previous owner Birmingham, 9/17 in the new G-list?

No idea. The compiler has changed so much from the original file and as sub-editor I don't get enough time to check all the minute detail like that, I should only need to check stuff that has changed from the last edition. Same as the registrations of 1788-1809 are incorrect, but were correct in the last edition

Has the 73 got a frequency increase post-lockdown? Seen 6107 and an UID X12 branded platinum

Post lockdown? As far as I'm aware we are still in a lockdown

I know the 5 has increased to half-hourly, so I guess the 73 has as well, if the two services are still interworking.

Looks like the Volvos are back on the 73. Seen 4276 on it today.

Can anyone tell me whether 4281 and 4283 have been out lately please? I haven't seen either since well before March.

There have been a few of the older buses on the 11 lately, but didn't catch any of the numbers. The route passes our house.
