What if half of the 11 allocation went to PB and the rest stays at AG? Could help with the reliability a little bit considering that it stops pretty close to both garages.

It used to be split between PB and AG. It still got caught up traffic, buses still bunch together. Wouldn't make any difference.

MW

It's actually easier from one depot. 11 has it's own 'AVL' and a dedicated inspector based at AG who tracks and monitors all the buses and then can radio/adjust them if there's any delays.

Buses will still have to be adjusted due to traffic regardless of how many depots operate the service.

If there's a hold up in Handsworth for example on the 11A, AVL might adjust a bus to terminate at Perry Barr for example, run dead to Winston Green avoiding Handsworth and pick up service again to ensure at least some sort of service is delivered rather than nothing continuing beyond Handsworth.

There's also cases where 11C's would be turned around just before Handsworth and become 11A's.

All dependant on how many passengers are on board and whether they have be transferred to another vehicle, as typically in these cases there's a convoy of 11s.

Having two or more depots doesn't make a different in these cases.

It used to be that 11A was one garage and 11C the other - cannot remember which way round.

11A - AG
11C - PB

That's not the rumour I heard, I heard the 11C would come back to PB, can't see it happening myself tho

MW

The rumour of Perry Barr getting the 11, or parts of it, has probably been around since 2005. It was certainly around 5 years ago when I used to drive the 11.

4655-76 never seen a Gemini on this before

@Trident 4194 if you take the time to actually look at the Usual Allocations listings, you'll see AG Gemini listed under 'Also commonly used', as they operate one journey on the 76.

B7TL ALX400 on the 11A today. Whichever one it is it has an overall advert for
Greatest Hits Radio and was at Ward End at 13:00.
Possibly the oldest bus in service in the West Midlands today, since its Sunday.
Local Routes
94/95, 11A/11C, 28.
