@MW  could probably say for definite but I believe driver changes on the 5/71/72/73/S1/966 take place in Solihull seven days a week. The 1/11/31/37 outside or near to AG garage.

Also talk on the grapevine of the 73 going to BC.

The 5 is at Sarehole Mill, not Solihull. The 73/966/S1 (Solihull Rota) are in Solihull Town Centre. The 71/72 (Moseley) are in the Station. I think that's right anyway.

37 is Acocks Green Village. 1/11/31 is outside the garage.

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

I take it AG are short of a few double-decks at present, hence the spare MMCs appearing on both the 31 and 73 recently?

My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

If that is true, please send the B7RLE's to the 73 and bring back double deckers to the X64

Does the X64 really need double deckers? The journeys I see don't, although admittedly these are mostly from city in the morning peak, or Saturday daytime.

Would have thought if that was the case, they would have got more Plaxtons back

Any more info

Sadly not. I was in Solihull one afternoon last week and walked past 4158 on the 70, the driver was sat on the platform and he was talking to an AG driver. I was trying to ID a Gemini parked behind it but then realised the bus stops had moved but as I walked back towards the new stops I caught by chance this rumour. I'm not the best at bedtime stories haha.

All I saw on the X64 today was deckers, not sure what's going on with that route at present
Class 153, 155 and 156. The Super Sprinters
"Around the corner" routes: 21, 89
Local routes: 12/A, 48/A
Semi-local routes: 54, 80, 87

Meanwhile, 4529 looks like it'll be out tomorrow. It's parked up in the garage surrounded by other Geminis, rather than in the corner tucked away. It was receiving some attention from the engineers earlier too.

Well when I was on my break at QEH, it was mostly single deckers from my observations. Whoever had an idea to extend X64 to QEH, I would like to say thank you and it is brilliant and finally 98 and 99 can have bit of space between University and city.

I see several X64s every day and it's almost all single deckers now - seems right for the loadings too.

Sorry, back to Acocks Green now.

any news on when the bond bus will be out

Some drivers that start the route 11 at Perry Barr set their dests way too early, I see them displaying 11/C/A/E on Highgate road, behind my early morning 8C bus. I just saw 4664 turning on to Stratford road with its dests still set to 11E just now.

EDIT: It was 4669, thanks MW. Boy my memory stinks.
