I saw 2213 at 9:30ish on Bromford Drive heading towards  Solihull & it roughly takes about 20-25 mins to get there from Brum  if that's any help

broma1k

2213 was probably on a 72E as it was in Chipperfield Road heading for town at 10:00 today.Then it usually returns on the full 72.

01 & 31 on the Solihull run at the first stop after Bromford Drive on Chipperfield Road are usually 72E's the 17 & 47 are full route 72's

The Real 4778

@BU07 LGO

Some cars do actually use it - some Bluetec Mercs are examples. Link off Mercedes website gives a bit more info.

I was interested in trying it thinking it was just a fuel additive, but after reading it seems a bit more complex!

It is NOT a fuel additive, you only need it if your car has an AdBlue tank.

I take it there were no issues with the new E200s on the 71/72 routes yesterday?

No idea but the village was slightly gridlocked on Shirley Road due to the turning of an MMC. 37 towards City, leaving village stand to do that U-Turn thing on Shirley Road. It went for the turn at couldnt make it due to a Diamond Dart parked at the stand outside the pub. If he went for it the nearside mirror would be crushed and the bus would've easily made it.

So yeah, turning circle is s***. Was like this for around 4 minutes.

I saw an inspector driving 2211 on Saturday. Saw him leaving Solihull and an hour or two later on Old Lode Lane. All I can presume, he was testing the routes for capability of these buses. I may be completely wrong!

They were testing an MMC over the weekend on various routes, so you may well be correct.
