Exactly. Some routes deserve just minis, not midis. Take the 99 for instance, I don't think it should have E200's, it coped with very small ALX200's and Solos previously.

I'm just waiting for someone's essay to say why I'm wrong.

I think Wright Streetlites would be very suitable to replace existing Solos, they would certainly suit NXWM livery

Probably better built then the E200's anyway!! I'm with you on this one, Nath. And yes, will look very smart in NXWM.

err i dont think the 99 would cope at all well with minibuses. And which routes would you have in mind? Theres no point buying a minibus if a b6 or enviro200 will go where a solo will go anyway-wheelbases of so called minibuses ie solos and streetlites are the same as midi buses because of the silly layout with wheels at the front. So, they are just as manoeuvrable and so why would you buy buses like solos which NX proved can't stand up to being used every day on busy urban routes when they last less long and break down more and cost more over the lifetime of a bus. Instead, buy midis try to encourage growth by ensuring that passengers can actually get a seat

Streetlites look absolutely hideous-versas at least look nice even if the build quality seems a bit poor

1842 seems to be making a strange rattling noise when coasting, just got off it on the 28

I was on the same bus last saturday on the 952H and was making the same noise especially on the limited stop section.

1404 and 1470 are no longer taxed.

Remember driving them both lots whan @wa on the 301s. 1404 was a lovely bus as was 1401. 1470 was branded for the 301s and was a pig of a bus. Always slow pulling away, heavey steering and a freezing cold cab.. sad to see her go though.
